Damir was born in 1990 in St. Gallen, Switzerland, where he grew up and completed secondary school in 2009. He then studied Biochemistry at the University of Zurich, earning his Master's degree in 2017 with a focus on protein biochemistry and the intracellular delivery of therapeutic proteins. Since joining Microsynth in 2018, he has specialized in various aspects and methodologies of qualitative and quantitative PCR, and has also gained extensive experience in nucleic acid isolation techniques.
