Melissa T. Duong is an associate director of anatomic pathology, driving process improvement and change management. She graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences, minor in philosophy, and a Master of Science as a pathologist’s assistant. A lifelong learner, she was a panelist for ASQ Philadelphia’s Women in Quality 2025 event and selected Best Speaker at LabVine’s global 2025 Laboratory Management Seasonal School. She is currently pursuing her MBA in Healthcare Management at Gwynedd Mercy University. Her academic research focuses on immune and stromal cell interactions in the microenvironment of tumors and infections, with several peer-reviewed papers. She obtained an American Society for Quality CSSGB and serves as AAPA Administration Committee Chair, RSVP Volunteers Board Member, and ASQ Philadelphia Chair 2026. Melissa hopes to be a leader who is present, engaged, positive, and motivating. She always puts her best foot forward for the good of her team and is an innovative thinker in improving processes and connecting those of various backgrounds.
