Rachel Keunen, PhD, MSc, BSc, is Lab Manager for the Acceleration Consortium at the University of Toronto. The Consortium is a global network of government, academia, and industry working to accelerate the discovery of materials. As Lab Manager, Keunen organizes procurement of equipment and supplies, works with environmental health and safety, and supports building management. She received her bachelor’s of science in biochemistry and biotechnology from Wilfrid Laurier University and her master’s in science in analytical chemistry and her doctorate in polymer chemistry from the University of Toronto. Her research focused on biocompatible polymer-modified nanoparticles and their interactions with cancer cells.
