With nearly 20 years in high-complexity molecular diagnostics and CLIA/CAP-accredited laboratories, Stacey Metzler has worked the bench, led operational expansions, validated next-generation sequencing platforms, and built systems that connect patients, physicians, and payers through efficient, outcomes-driven workflows. At Phoenix Children’s, she manages operations and development efforts for the Clinical Genomics Lab, overseeing a multi-site program that delivers a suite of genetic testing services, including whole exome and genome sequencing. Under her leadership, the program has delivered cost savings, implemented payer-aligned pricing models, and expanded internal testing to improve efficiency and strengthen the hospital’s capacity to serve patients. Her role includes workflow optimization, staffing, and test development in support of strategic initiatives led by medical directors and pathology leadership. She also provides cross-functional leadership, partnering with financial clearance, revenue integrity, government affairs, and legal teams to ensure financial sustainability, compliance, and patient access.

Stacey brings broad experience from prior roles at Neo Genomics, Novartis, and other genetic testing companies, and has recently ventured into entrepreneurship by advancing her first biotech startup, MyoHope. She holds a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University, is certified as an MLS(ASCP), earned a Master of Arts in Psychology with a focus on industrial-organizational leadership, and is near completion of her MBA in Finance from Arizona State University. This foundation has helped bridge clinical, operational, and financial domains, translating technical insight into measurable business impact.
