Butte College’s one-of-a-kind welding and manufacturing facility doubles the size of the college’s welding training facility.

The facility contains four classrooms, two welding labs with a total of 92 welding stations, a dedicated state of the art manufacturing lab, rod storage, tank storage, and a large outdoor laboratory. A rooftop solar system is also part of the design, and robotic arm systems can be utilized by students during their training. The plan is to install enough renewable energy to off-set the added consumption to help prevent additional on-going utility costs to the District.
