parainfluenza-antigensBinding Site’s Immunologicals Group is pleased to announce the addition of three new Parainfluenza Virus antigens to its broad offering of products for in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) manufacturing and research applications. The Parainfluenza Virus Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 antigens have been expressly designed for use as integral components within solid phase enzyme immunoassay test procedures, especially ELISA.  As such, the availability of these two antigens will benefit the needs of biopharmaceutical, clinical, drug-discovery, and life science researchers, as well as manufacturers of IVD test kits.

Human parainfluenza viruses (HPIVs) are the viruses that cause human parainfluenza. HPIVs are a group of four distinct single-stranded viruses that are closely associated with both human and veterinary disease, especially lower respiratory infections HPIV-1 and HPIV-2 have been demonstrated to be the principal causative agent behind croup while HPIV-3 has been closely associated with both bronchiolitis and pneumonia.

All of these antigens exhibit exceptional purity levels as a result of chromatographic manufacturing techniques, while demonstrating exceptional lot-to-lot consistencies and high degrees of activity and specificity. They all feature an outstanding shelf life stability claim of 10 years from the date of manufacture and are offered in a standard sized 1.0mg filled vial, with larger, bulk configurations also being available.
