CE Accent Credit Now Available On-line at the Stanbio Laboratory Web Site
Laboratory personnel and lab directors can now earn one-half hour of Accent CE credit from the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) on-line by visiting www.stanbio.com/gobhb and clicking the Learning Center icon.
BOERNE, TX, November 2, 2012 – Laboratory personnel and lab directors can now earn one-half hour of Accent CE credit from the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) on-line by visiting www.stanbio.com/gobhb and clicking the Learning Center icon. A case study presentation by Dr. James H. Nichols, PhD, DABCC, FACB, entitled “The value, efficacy and efficiency of β-Hydroxybutyrate,” recorded at the Clinical Lab Expo in July 2012, has been authorized for Accent credit and is now available for laboratory personnel to view at their convenience. Accent credits count toward important board certification and state licensure requirements.
“The case study presentation by Dr. Nichols at this year’s AACC Clinical Lab Expo effectively illustrated the use and value of testing for diabetic ketoacidosis using the enzymatic β-Hydroxybutyrate assay,” said Gilbert A. Stanbio Laboratory launched its β-Hydroxybutyrate web portal earlier this year to aggregate content related to the increasing use of its enzymatic β-Hydroxybutyrate assay. Now, eight of the top 10 diabetes and endocrinology hospitals, as ranked by a nationally recognized news magazine, are using Stanbio β-Hydroxybutyrate products to test for ketosis.
