Micromeritics Instrument Corporation is proud to announce its national accreditation as a Post-Secondary Avocational/Professional Development Institution by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. Attendees of Micromeritics Learning Center (MLC) courses can now earn nationally accredited Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for completion of instrument operator training. This achievement further demonstrates Micromeritics’ commitment to producing the highest quality materials science instruments and services. The company has maintained its certification as an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System for designing, manufacturing, and servicing analytical instruments since 1994 and offered cGMP-compliant material science laboratory services since 2004.
Since 1989, Micromeritics has offered high-quality instrument operator training courses to scientists, engineers, and technicians as an added benefit to using our technology. Today, courses offered include in-depth theory lectures by staff scientists as well as hands-on instrument operation with applications experts. In mid-2011, Micromeritics began documenting the excellence of its training by conducting a rigorous self-examination process. The resulting self-examination report was submitted to ACCET, which then dispatched a team of nationally recognized education experts to evaluate Micromeritics’ Norcross, Georgia training facility. All procedures, course materials, and documentation were reviewed and several strengths were noted in the team report. Based on the team’s finding, ACCET’s Accrediting Commission granted national accreditation to the Micromeritics Learning Center.
ACCET has been granting accreditation to schools since 1974 and has been officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978 as a “reliable authority” on accrediting institutions providing quality education. ACCET is also ISO 9001:2008-certified since 1998; the only recognized accrediting agency to be certified at this prestigious level. For more information about ACCET, please visit www.accet.org.
Micromeritics customers attending Micromeritics Learning Center courses can now enjoy the benefits of this nationally recognized accreditation and doing business with a quality-driven organization. As an added benefit to celebrate this achievement, MLC is offering a 25% discount on all 2013 course registrations until January 1, 2014.
