Thermo Fisher announces job shifts

Thermo Fisher Scientific announced this week it will shift 37 jobs from its Dubuque, Iowa facility and will focus that operation strictly on manufacturing.

The Dubuque location employs roughly 500 people.

The company also plans to move the research and development marketing jobs to a facility in North Carolina.

The transition is expected to be completed by the end of March.
