Elevating IR Imaging with the Hyperion II FT-IR and QCL Microscope

The Hyperion II FT-IR and QCL microscope combines ATR, transmission, or reflection, with single element MCT-, FPA-, or laser imaging measurements. Equipped with a focal-plane array (FPA) detector, the Hyperion II takes IR imaging to the next level and provides excellent spatial resolution and peak sensitivity for all analytical tasks.

CONTINUING THE LEGACY OF HYPERION PLATFORM INNOVATIONS

The HYPERION II features Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs)and an optimized beam path for fast infrared laser imaging and imaging applications. It can be equipped with a low magnification objective (3,5x) and the addition of a TE-MCT allows for sensitive MCT measurements without the need for liquid nitrogen.

COMBINING LASER IMAGING AND FT-IR

The HYPERION II is the only IR microscope that allows the simultaneous use of FT-IR and QCL. By combining both these techniques in one instrument, the HYPERION II ensures rapid collection of full spectra to determine wavenumbers of interest for meaningful chemical imaging of large samples via IR Laser Imaging.

EFFECTIVE LASER ILLUMINATION AND SPATIAL COHERENCE ELIMINATION

An optimized mirror design provides an evenly broadened laser beam for homogeneous illumination over large sample areas. Our patented and effective spatial coherence reduction mechanism completely eliminates spatial coherence effects at the source so no postprocessing is necessary.

HIGH QUALITY VISUALIZATION

Hyperion II is equipped with multiple tools to enhance the visual quality of your analysis including a 5 MP CMOS camera and binocular, contrast irises, darkfield and fluorescence illumination, visual and infrared polarizers, and autofocus functionality.

OPUS IR SOFTWARE

Our all-in-one software OPUS provides a user-guided interface enabling microscopic investigations, optimal measurements, and evaluations for users of any skill level. OPUS is fully compliant with data integrity regulation according to 21CFR Part 11. The HYPERION II can also be utilized with older OPUS versions down to OPUS 8.7.
