Ductless and filtered fume hoods can provide an energy efficient, less costly, and eco-friendly alternative to traditional ducted fume hoods. Traditional ducted fume hoods are one of the largest energy users in a laboratory, requiring many costly mechanical system components to operate properly. Limiting the amount of tempered air expelled from a lab lowers energy costs significantly and can reduce first costs. When used appropriately, ductless/filtered solutions lower energy costs while still providing a safe environment to work with hazardous chemicals. This webinar will provide industry ductless hood definitions, define advantages/disadvantages of going ductless, address selection criteria and appropriate uses, and show successful case studies where filtered technology has been implemented.
As a webinar attendee, you will learn more about:
- How to significantly lower energy costs
- Advantages and disadvantages of using ductless/filtered fume hoods
- The selection criteria for choosing the right ductless or filtered hood for your application
- Appropriate uses for ductless vs. ducted hoods in a lab
