SALT LAKE CITY, June 18, 2008— ARUP Laboratories, a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory and a leader in innovative laboratory research and development, announced today that it has entered into a business alliance with Pathology Service Associates, LLC (PSA), a nationwide network affiliation and a principal provider of business services and support to independent pathologist practices. The agreement, effective June 17, 2008, offers special pricing to the over 400 pathologists affiliated with PSA for ARUP’s esoteric molecular oncology and cytogenetics testing services. Additionally, ARUP’s proprietary online diagnostic tool, ARUP Consult®, The Physician’s Guide to Laboratory Test Selection and Interpretation, will be integrated into PSA’s internal Web site for affiliated practices.

Disease-specific topics with background information, test ordering suggestions, and diagnostic algorithms are co-authored and maintained by ARUP’s expert panel of medical faculty and consultants and include recommendations that are congruent with and link to national guidelines and relevant references.
