CHICAGO – The official journals of SLAS, SLAS Discovery and SLAS Technology, are now accepting entries for the 2017 SLAS Discovery & SLAS Technology Art of Science Contest. SLAS members and nonmembers are invited to submit their mesmerizing original scientific images before April 21. Up to 10 finalists will receive 60 days free online access to the SAGE Pharmacology & Biomedical Collection (250,000+ peer-reviewed scientific reports) and one of the 10 finalists will win a $500 Amazon gift card.
Visualization plays an important role in the analysis and presentation of scientific work. In journal articles, images often communicate ideas and information in ways that text, tables, charts, graphs, or equations cannot. Sometimes scientific images surpass this purpose and create shapes, patterns, and designs that capture attention and imagination. These are the images SLAS Discovery and SLAS Technology seek for the 2017 Art of Science Contest.
