Clinisys has unveiled the latest version of its flagship laboratory information system, Clinisys™ Laboratory Solution (CLS) v2025.2. This upgrade brings enhanced support for Clinical Pathology and Genomics laboratories across North America, building on the robust features introduced in the August 2025 release.

CLS v2025.2 is designed to accelerate implementation timelines, expand testing menus, and elevate operational performance through its tailored LIS solutions. With this release, Clinisys continues to meet the dynamic demands of healthcare laboratories while introducing a new AI-driven support feature: CLS CARE.

CLS v2025.2 Key Benefits for Lab Managers

  • Accelerated implementation through pre-configured content and streamlined workflows
  • Unified environments with seamless third-party integrations and instrument connectivity
  • Enhanced patient care enabled by automation and improved clinical workflows
  • Scalable growth through flexible, cloud-based subscriptions
  • Data-driven decisions supported by actionable insights from advanced analytics

"With Clinisys Laboratory Solution (CLS), we offer a unified, cloud platform that enables healthcare laboratories to modernize, automate, and scale. CLS is designed to drive efficiency, support data integrity, and deliver real-time insights—helping our customers safeguard health and safety across the globe," said Chad Meyers, VP of Product Management for CLS Healthcare at Clinisys.

Scientific Advancements Built Into CLS

In addition to improvements for healthcare labs, CLS v2025.2 delivers powerful new features for scientific and public health laboratories:

  • Enhanced food safety testing with multi-level matrix management
  • Updated quality control tools, including Westgard Rules and Delta Checks
  • Expanded API endpoints and improved data integration
  • New capabilities for NGS workflows and specimen processing
  • Streamlined billing and improved manual order entry

Introducing CLS CARE: Smarter Support for Smarter Labs

The new CLS CARE is a multilingual, AI-powered chat agent embedded within the CLS environment. It provides immediate, contextual guidance for users on system functionality, configuration, and usage. CLS CARE supports English, French, Spanish, and Dutch, and can generate API code samples in multiple programming languages like .NET, Java, and Python.

Michael Simpson, CEO of Clinisys, commented, “Our journey is shaped by the voices of our customers. We believe that true innovation in healthcare comes from listening—understanding the real-world challenges laboratories face and building solutions that empower them to deliver better patient outcomes."

Early Adoption Shows Promise

Day Kimball Hospital was one of the early adopters of the new CLS release. Deanna Shukis, Director of Laboratory Services, shared:

"When Clinisys approached us to be a CLS early adopter, I was all in. I saw a demonstration and how intuitive it was, and I didn’t hesitate at all. When it really comes down to it, the level of expertise and skill that I have encountered with the team is astounding."
