HORIBA, a global leader in analytical and measurement technology, has introduced the PoliSpectra® 27, a compact, lightweight spectrometer platform engineered for seamless integration into hyperspectral imaging systems. Designed for factory configurability and scalability, this spectrometer is ideal for real-time inspection, monitoring, and metrology applications.

Tailored for high-volume manufacturing, the PoliSpectra 27 supports hyperspectral line-scanning (push-broom) methods by simultaneously collecting full spectral data across the height of the input slit. This feature makes it especially valuable in environments where precise spectral and spatial performance are mission-critical.

High Optical Performance with Low Distortion

With impressive optical throughput and minimal stray light, the PoliSpectra 27 ensures accurate and consistent measurements. It boasts excellent peak symmetry and minimal geometric distortion, with measured keystone and smile each under 15 µm. These specifications are essential for ensuring spatial-spectral alignment in hyperspectral systems.

Key Features:

  • Compact and lightweight: 2 x 3.5 x 2 inches, 1.5 lbs
  • Designed for industrial-scale manufacturing
  • High optical throughput with low stray light
  • Excellent peak symmetry
  • Less than 15 µm keystone and smile distortion

Versatile Applications and Configurations

Designed with flexibility in mind, the PoliSpectra 27 is available in several configurations to accommodate different application requirements. These include VIS and VIS-NIR spectral ranges, and options such as C-mount, F-mount, bare-slit, or custom input interfaces.

It is well-suited for a broad range of applications, including:

  • Hyperspectral line imaging
  • Industrial inspection and metrology
  • Process monitoring
  • Aerial reconnaissance
  • Agricultural inspection

"The PoliSpectra 27 expands HORIBA’s spectrometer portfolio with a scalable, industrial-ready platform for hyperspectral imaging system," said Nicolas Vezard, VP of Optical Solutions & Industrial Spectrometers for OEM. "This offers developers compact form factors without compromising optical performance."
