STERIS announces the global launch of Spordex® Self-Contained Biological Indicator (SCBI) Ampoules to confirm sterilization of liquids in steam autoclave cycles.  STERIS SCBI Ampoules are confirmed to provide a reduced incubation time (RIT) of 48 hours for fast and reliable results.

The new Spordex SCBI Ampoules provide an all-in-one system including spores, media, and pH indicator. The self-contained submersible biological indicator is used to test the worst-case locations in liquids or within your steam sterilizers and no activation is required after the sterilization cycle is complete. A vivid color change indicates positive results and microbial presence.

STERIS Spordex SCBI Ampoules are designed for validation, requalification, or routine use in any size steam sterilizer.
