PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT

LC Systems for any Aplication or Budget
New levels of performance in analytical HPLC and UHPLC

The 1200 Infinity Series of LC systems from Agilent Technologies includes three models that offer seamless integration of column technology, instrumentation and software for maximum productivity. The series features upgraded detectors, pumps and autosamplers for higher sensitivity and detection speeds, and is fully compatible with modern column technology.

The 1220 and 1260 models support a 600 bar pressure range and 80 Hz data acquisition rate, allowing for the use of sub-2 micron particle columns. The 1220 Infinity LC is well-suited to routine HPLC and advanced RRLC analyses, while the 1260 Infinity LC pushes RRLC performance even further. Both models are fully compatible with HPLC methods, ensuring risk-free replacement or upgrades of existing 1100 or 1200 Series instruments.

Dr. Michael Frank, Product Manager HPLC Systems & Solutions at Agilent, says the 1200 Infinity LC Series offers the highest flexibility. “The customer can decide… if he wants to continue running conventional LC methods or use new UHPLC methods, or both—on the same system,” he said. And since the 1260 Infinity LC modules are exchangeable, “it’s possible to upgrade an existing 15-year-old 1100 Series LC with a new 1260 Infinity DAD and achieve a 10-fold sensitivity gain,” he added.

The 1290 Infinity LC delivers the highest performance, with a power range up to 1200 bar pressure and a 160 Hz detection speed. The 1260 and 1290 models are compatible with all Agilent 6000 Series mass detectors.
