Milford, Mass.-based Waters Corp. will acquire all of the outstanding capital stock of the privately-held ERA. The transaction is expected to be complete before the end of 2006.
Waters Corp. holds worldwide leading positions in three complementary analytical technologies - liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and thermal analysis. These markets account for approximately $5 billion of the overall $20-25 billion analytical instrument market.
Current annual revenues for ERA are approximately $17 million.
