Abselion has announced the launch of its Tagged Protein Quantification Kit | His-tag and Tagged Protein Sensor | His-tag Quantification at PEGS Europe 2025, expanding the capabilities of its Amperia™ platform into recombinant protein workflows. Developed in collaboration with GenScript and built on its THE™ His Tag Monoclonal Antibodies, the kit delivers fast, reliable quantification of His-tagged proteins, even in crude samples.
His-tags are one of the most commonly used affinity tags in protein research, yet traditional quantification methods like ELISA or gels are often time-consuming and variable. The new Amperia-compatible kit offers lab managers a streamlined, automated solution that simplifies workflows while improving data consistency.
Ready-to-Use Design for Streamlined Lab Integration
The new assay is designed for use with Abselion’s Amperia benchtop system, a user-friendly platform that employs redox electrochemical detection for accurate, rapid quantification of biomolecules. The assay runs in a premix competition format and is fully integrated within Amperia’s intuitive, software-driven workflow.
Key features of the Tagged Protein Quantification Kit include:
- Pre-coated sensor strips with GenScript’s high-affinity His Tag antibodies
- Complete assay components in a single package (plates, reagents, buffers)
- Compatibility with both crude and purified samples
- No need for optics, fluidics, or specialist training
The assay allows lab managers to easily implement consistent and efficient His-tagged protein quantification into research, screening, and bioprocess development settings.
Dr Ruizhi Wang, CEO and Founder of Abselion, stated: “The His-tag launch is one of the first affinity-based, electrochemical, automated kits for crude samples and marks an important step in extending Amperia into one of the most widely used areas of protein science. By combining GenScript’s trusted antibody technology with our ready-to-use design, we are giving researchers faster, more dependable ways to quantify His-tagged proteins directly from complex samples."
In addition to the full kit, Abselion has introduced the Tagged Protein Sensor | His-tag Quantification as a standalone consumable pack, providing flexibility for labs already using Amperia for other biomolecule analyses.
Lab managers attending PEGS Europe in Lisbon from November 11–13 will be able to see the new kit in action alongside the Amperia platform, highlighting how it can transform recombinant protein quantification.
