Accelerated Technology Laboratories, Inc. (ATL) has announced that is has joined the Microsoft BioIT Alliance. The Microsoft BioIT Alliance brings together pharmaceutical, biotechnology, hardware and software industries to explore new ways to share complex biomedical data and collaborate among multi-disciplinary teams to expedite discovery in the life sciences. The Alliance also allows members to identify new technologies to overcome the challenges faced by life science companies like data integration, collaboration, and knowledge management that cannot be solved by any organization alone.
"ATL is excited to be a part of the BioIT Alliance. The opportunity to collaborate with other innovative biotechnology and high technology companies towards the common goal of improving the quality of life for people around the world is definitely something we want to be part of", said Dr. Christine Paszko, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, for ATL.
A recent example of ATL's growth in the biotechnology sector is the recent announcement that ATL has entered into a partnership with the David H. Murdock Research Institute (DHMRI) to provide its Sample Master® Pro LIMS throughout its facilities at the North Carolina Research Campus. Sample Master® Pro LIMS has been selected as the exclusive LIMS provider for DHMRI to support all laboratories including Genomics, Metabolomics, Proteomics, Light Microscopy, Electron Microscopy and NMR. Sample Master® Pro LIMS will be used not only to manage data but to facilitate discovery by allowing the integration of data generated from separate core laboratories.
