Opened by Mr. Arnaud Montebourg, French Industry Minister and Mr. Andreini, President of PEXE, this forum is organized by the PEXE, the association of French eco-industries. This association brings together nearly 5,000 companies, i.e. half of the sector in France. The PEXE’s objective is to create a powerful network of excellence in the field of eco-activities.

Like a hundred other companies, Alpha M.O.S presented its latest industrial innovations to a large number of buyers: environmental services companies, governmental and regional agencies, municipalities.

ALPHA MOS’ Innovations for the Environment

The RQ BOX electronic noses allow to continuously track odors and chemicals from industrial sites: waste storage and recovery plants, composting plants, WWTPs, rendering plants.

These instruments combine different gas sensor technologies and artificial intelligence. Associated with dispersion software, they measure odors, locate their source and predict in real-time the impact of odor nuisances in the vicinity of sites.

When they directly control odor treatment processes, these instruments save water, energy and chemicals.

For indoor air quality monitoring, the RQ Box Energy Saver optimizes the operation of air conditioning and ventilation systems, reducing the energy bill and carbon footprint.

In the laboratory, the Heracles analyzer, based on ultra-fast gas chromatography, combines odor and gas analysis.

Alpha M.O.S has also briefly introduced the next generation of localized environmental measurements for indoor and outdoor air monitoring with miniaturized electronic nose technology.

ALPHA M.O.S, Elected First Innovative Eco-Business in Air and Odour

After the decision of the Forum Committee, Alpha M.O.S. received the trophy for the innovative eco-business for its air quality and odor monitoring solutions. The 2013 award is sponsored by VEOLIA W ater, represented by Mrs. Vullierme, Director of Strategy, Marketing and Development.

Mrs. Batho, French Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, and Mr. Andreini, President of PEXE gave this trophy to Mr. Mifsud, President and CEO of Alpha M.O.S.

This award honors the recent environmental innovations of Alpha M.O.S in energy efficiency.

Mr. Jean-Christophe MIFSUD, CEO of Alpha M.O.S, comments: "We are very pleased that our investments in R&D (about 20% of our turnover in 2011-2012) and marketing of our environmental solutions in France and abroad are distinguished by the PEXE and the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy.

For several years, Alpha M.O.S has continuously developed electronic noses based on gas sensor technology to monitor air quality in the vicinity of industrial sites.

We keep innovating by developing fixed or embedded communicating micro sensors for the monitoring of specific gases in environment (H2S, VOCs, NH3, etc.).

By miniaturizing our technologies and integrating them into more industrial or consumer applications (household appliances, home automation, etc.), we bring measurement capabilities at the level of each of us. Our ambition is to generate significant revenues through the sale of micro sensors, modules specifically designed for each application and licensing agreements.”
