MAG and HEATMAG are user-friendly modules for efficient magnetic bead purification in a broad range of molecular biology and proteomic workflows. HEATMAG features a unique combination of magnetic separation and heating functions to provide optimal conditions for nucleic acid extraction.

MAG modules can be integrated with the ASSIST PLUS pipetting robot—a compact, versatile, and easy-to-use liquid handling platform—to enable fully walk-away processing of samples, optimizing the efficiency of magnetic bead purification protocols. 

Automated bead collection

Hands-free vertical magnet movement and an adjustable collection height enable automated and optimized bead collection and capture at both low and high volumes. These features also eliminate the need to remove the plate for manual bead collection, avoiding the risk of spills during plate transfers.

Effortless processing across various labware formats 

MAG offers unmatched versatility, with interchangeable magnetic arrays that accommodate a variety of labware options from 1.5 mL tubes to 384 well PCR plates. The magnetic array and labware adapter ensure optimal labware positioning, bead collection, and temperature transmission on the HEATMAG.

Strong magnets for minimal bead loss

Strong magnets collect beads at the side of each well for automated processing on the ASSIST PLUS pipetting robot. This ensures rapid, complete, and precise liquid exchange without bead carryover for high yields.

Magnetic separation and heating in a single module

The HEATMAG module combines magnetic separation and heating in one device, supporting workflows at temperatures of up to 65°C. This unique capability enables the automation of magnetic bead purification steps at higher temperatures, which is crucial for lysis or elution tasks.
