Betsy Baer is a scientific business development leader, most recently leading the federal practice business development efforts at US Pharmacopeia. In this role, she developed projects and key collaborations with US government agencies and partner organizations to advance supply chain resilience, advanced manufacturing, emerging biologics, and healthcare quality and safety. With over 30 years of experience leading teams and strategic initiatives, Baer previously led the East Coast business operations for Waters Corporation, a leader in analytical technology solutions, and then created and led a new team at Waters, leveraging the expertise and agility of CDMOs to expand development and manufacturing of vaccines and therapeutics during the COVID-19 pandemic. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and began her career as a forensic research chemist with the FBI.
