Dror Kolodkin-Gal, PhD, is a scientist, researcher and entrepreneur. He studied immunology and microbiology at Tel Aviv University before completing a Ph.D. in virology at the Hebrew University. He has also been a research fellow at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, as well as a senior researcher at the Hadassah Medical Center at Hebrew University.

After seeing the toll paid by fellow researchers and journals that experience retractions or reputational damage after unintentionally including image duplications, Dror founded Proofiger Ltd to improve image integrity. He and his team developed an automated image integrity detection software, Proofig AI, that uses artificial intelligence to detect image duplication and manipulation in scientific manuscripts.
