CEM Corporation, a leading global provider of microwave laboratory instrumentation, will sponsor Hats for Haiti, a fundraiser at Pittcon 2010 benefiting the Haitian earthquake relief effort. The Company will be offering its trademark Crazy Dave Beanies, which have become a tradition at the exhibition, for a $1 contribution. All proceeds from the beanies will benefit the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund and CEM will match every dollar contributed to Hats for Haiti with an additional $2 contribution.

“The scientific community has a history of reaching out to help those in need,” said Michael J. Collins, president and CEO of CEM Corporation, “and Pittcon provides the perfect opportunity to connect on both a scientific and humanitarian level. I would like to encourage everyone at Pittcon this year to come by our booth and turn one dollar into three. Join us in the effort to help alleviate the devastating suffering in Haiti.”
