Centrifuges are used in many laboratories to separate fluids, gases, or liquids based on particle size and density. Within a solution, gravitational force causes particles of higher density than the solvent to sink, and those less dense than the solvent to float to the top. Even minute differences in density are sufficient to separate particles within a solution. There are many different types and sizes of centrifuges to choose from to support a wide range of applications.

In this eBook you will learn:

  • Questions to ask before buying a centrifuge
  • The basics of centrifuge operation
  • Maintenance tips for centrifuges
  • How to operate a centrifuge safely
