AIT Laboratories, a leading forensics laboratory also specializing in pain management, clinical, and pharmaceutical testing, has added 77 new high-tech jobs since the beginning of 2008. That number surpasses AIT’s announcement in March that it expected to add 50 new jobs by the end of the year. “AIT’s growth over the past several months can be attributed to our quality service, continued investments in state-of-the-art technology, enhanced testing methods, and the skills of our highly qualified staff of professionals,” said AIT president and CEO Michael A. Evans, Ph.D. The job growth brings AIT’s total employment to 224. AIT added 60 new jobs in 2007. In the past three years, AIT has tripled its workforce and quadrupled its revenues. In addition, AIT has doubled its national sales force and has expanded into 17 new markets nationwide. “In 2007, AIT experienced 80 percent growth in revenues and 170 percent growth in net profits. The company has experienced record growth in sales in each of the first seven months of this year,” said Evans. “We are currently on pace to double our 2007 sales.” AIT continues to show growth in each of its core service lines. AIT is also actively involved in helping to stop the “brain drain” in Indiana. Currently, more than 53 percent of AIT employees have received or are receiving degrees from colleges and universities in Indiana. More than ten percent of AIT employees have master’s or Ph.D. degrees. “It is vital for the success of AIT to recruit and employ top talent from Indiana,” said Todd Pedersen, vice president of corporate development. “The higher educational institutions in Indiana, both large and small, are producing great talent, and AIT is providing those graduates with high-tech, high-paying jobs.” Source: AIT Laboratories |
