The secure nylon zipper and no-pocket design help reduce the risk of contamination to people and processes. Snaps do not offer the same degree of protection as zippers, due to gaps between the closures. There also is a risk that the snaps can fall off and contaminate the process.

The Kimtech™ A8 Zippered Lab Coat provides liquid and particle protection for ISO 7 and 8 or higher cleanroom environments.
