in the US and Canada, who are performing novel research in the fields of titration, ion chromatography, electrochemistry and near-IR spectroscopy. Applicants submit a summary of their work for consideration, a panel of Applications Experts selects a winner, and that winner presents his/her complete work at PITTCON during a special press conference as well as in the Poster area on the exhibition floor.

“Metrohm is a Foundation at its very core: all profi ts are funneled back into scientifi c research & development as well as the proliferation of the town of Herisau, where the company headquarters were founded and are still located; our parent company supports science education through teacher and student sponsorships in Europe, it’s just natural for us to follow suit in North America,” affirms Michael Melingo, President & CEO of Metrohm USA.

The next Young Chemist chosen will be celebrated at PITTCON 2015, where the exhibition moves to New Orleans, LA.
