Leadership is important to all labs. At the heart of effective leadership is making good decisions. Those decisions enable the lab and the people to move forward and continue to develop. Unfortunately, most lab managers studied science and developed as technical contributors before taking on the role of lab manager. Most have to learn about leadership and management on the job. A key part of the Lab Manager mission is sharing knowledge, experience, and examples to help lab managers make better decisions.
This webinar will provide a brief overview of leadership principles, a preview of the 2024 Lab Manager live Leadership Summit to be held starting 29 April in Denver, CO, and a Q&A session to discuss and share about lab leadership.
As an attendee, you will learn more about:
- The importance of doing the right things
- Tips to improve staff engagement and retention
- Some basic fundamentals of effective leadership
- An overview of the live Leadership Summit including agenda highlights
