Vapourtec has significantly enhanced its E-Series flow chemistry system with the introduction of advanced user interface software, designed to elevate automation and data analysis capabilities. The new software, built on customer feedback, leverages intuitive touchscreen technology, enabling fully automated, unattended reactions and laying the groundwork for automated reaction optimization.

One of the key features of this upgrade is its ability to support machine learning (ML) algorithms through an industry-standard OPC UA interface. The software also introduces robust data logging, a schematic editor for precise experimental settings, and the capability to run multiple fully automated reaction conditions.

This software upgrade extends beyond just the E-Series system, offering integration with external equipment such as additional pumps, reactors, recirculators, and inline analytics. The interface also supports process analytical tools (PAT), further enhancing lab efficiency.

Vapourtec's Managing Director, Duncan Guthrie, highlights the software's cutting-edge data logging and graphing capabilities, which allow users to effortlessly select and display data sets, as well as zoom in on specific data points in real-time using the touchscreen.

Launched in 2013, the E-Series has established itself as a vital tool in laboratories worldwide, with over 350 installations and 270 peer-reviewed citations. This latest software advancement reaffirms Vapourtec's commitment to pushing the boundaries of flow chemistry.
