Nikon Small World Exhibition and Seminars to be held Thursday, January 7, at the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia
What:
Nikon Small World, the oldest and most respected photomicrography competition of its kind, will be exhibiting winning images from the 2009 competition at The Wistar Institute. In addition, Dr. Martin Chalfie, co-winner of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, will be presenting a seminar on the Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) and its impact on imaging technology. Other seminars on the Research Applications of Advanced Imaging Technologies will be given by Meenhard Herlyn, D.V.M, D.Sc. of The Wistar Institute Molecular and Cellular Oncogenesis Program, and Yale E. Goldman, M.D., Ph.D of the University of Pennsylvania, Department of Psychology.
This event will conclude with an evening reception offering the unique opportunity to meet winners from the Nikon Small World Competition.
