Micronic, leader in innovative sample storage and automation solutions, launches a new Screw Cap for Tubes with External Thread. The Screw Cap IG has an improved gripping for both manual and automated handling, the newly designed lead-in on top of the Screw Cap ensures a better tube placement and the optimized cap height (5.8mm) makes storage in automated stores more efficient. The Screw Cap is available in a variety of 12 different colors.

The Screw Cap IG for Tubes with External Thread is designed to be compatible with the Micronic Screw Cap Recappers and other automated systems. Hence, the Screw Cap is particularly suitable to be used in the process of standardizing and accelerating the sample storage workflow in a laboratory. The improved sealing performance of the Screw Cap leads to a reduction of sample loss and an enhanced sample integrity. The working range of the Screw Cap is between vapor phase LN² and +100°C. This makes it possible to use the cap for short-term and long-term sample storage in extreme temperatures.

The Micronic Screw Caps are produced in certified class-7 cleanrooms at facilities in both the Netherlands and the United States. The caps are made from the highest purity polyethylene and are free from any detectable RNase/DNase and pyrogens. The Screw Caps are available in bulk and precapped on Micronic (Hybrid) Tubes with External Thread.
