Single-Step Purification by Centrifugal Partition Chromatography

Purify several cannabinoids in one step from crude oil

Purification of individual cannabinoids from full-spectrum oil is a challenging exercise due to the structural similarities of the hundreds of compounds present. When performed with classical liquid/solid chromatographic techniques, separation processes are known to require extra steps, additional costs, and waste when compared to centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC).

This application note confirms how the high selectivity of CPC purifies a set of key compounds (THC, CBD, CBN, and CBG) and enriches several minor cannabinoids (CBDV, CBCV, and CBC) in just a single step and with no risk of sample loss or denaturation.
