SBS is now accepting abstracts for their 2011 Annual Conference & Exhibition
The Society for Biomolecular Sciences (SBS) announced on June 14 that they are accepting abstracts for the SBS 17th Annual Conference and Exhibition, Advancing the Science of Drug Discovery, which will take place March 27- 31, 2011 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
The SBS 2011 Conference & Exhibition is expected to draw more than 1,500 scientists and life sciences executives from around the globe. This gathering provides a rare platform for scientists to share their knowledge and research with respected peers. Presenters may share either data never before presented or work that has already been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
“For the 2011 SBS conference, we have organized a rigorous, multi-disciplinary program that incorporates topics dear to veteran SBS membership as well as those with non-pharma backgrounds. Attendees will be able to choose from 15 diverse scientific sessions, each punctuated by a keynote presentation,” said Program Chair, Dr. Peter Hodder, of the Scripps Research Institute, Scripps, Florida.
“There should be something for everyone. There will be sessions that address innovations in the screening sciences, others focused on translational research paradigms, and an entire track dedicated to opportunities from genome sequencing that are impacting the biomolecular sciences,” said Hodder. “Our hope is that conferees will appreciate the significance of sharing best practices in the screening sciences as well as highlighting emerging opportunities by submitting abstracts – sharing knowledge with the SBS community effectively shapes the future of drug discovery.”
Conference session titles include Innovations in Screening Sciences, Translational Research, and Sequenced Genomes: Reducing Opportunities to Practice. Oral abstracts must be submitted by October 15, 2010 and poster abstracts must be submitted by February 18, 2011. All abstracts must be submitted electronically via the online abstract submission system. Submissions sent via e-mail or in a Word or text document will not be accepted.
