Virotek Biosciences Inc. has officially launched Canada's first commercial installation of the AVITI24™ 5D multi-omic platform, a move poised to redefine lab capabilities in translational and multi-omics research.
The AVITI24 system by Element Biosciences is a fully integrated platform that captures five dimensions of biological data—RNA, protein, morphology, spatial context, and dynamic response—from a single sample without the need for traditional library preparation.
"This advancement represents a defining moment for genomic and translational research in Canada," said Saeid Babaei, PhD, Chief Visionary Officer of Virotek Biosciences.
Why AVITI24™ Stands Out for Lab Managers
- Boosts throughput and sequencing accuracy
- Reduces turnaround times with parallel sequencing
- Improves per-sample economics
- Scales with growing lab demands
Virotek's adoption of AVITI24 allows the lab to enhance offerings like whole genome sequencing, exome analysis, targeted panels, and molecular profiling. It also enables internal R&D expansion, helping labs reduce reliance on external sequencing services.
"Through companies like Virotek, AVITI24 is extending its impact globally—enabling new discoveries and greater clarity about human biology," said Danae Van Oene, SVP of Global Sales at Element Biosciences.
Lab managers across Canada may now look to Virotek as a benchmark for adopting transformative sequencing technologies.
