The pace of organizational change has accelerated and the challenges impact our everyday lives as laboratory managers. The drivers for change can vary from personnel realignments due to mergers/acquisitions, overall downsized staffing, new organizational structures, business model changes (e.g. offering services to external customers), and various other consequences related to the overall business conditions at the time. Each circumstance has its specific nuances, but all of them have in common the need for flexible models that allow rapid redirection of workflow and operational practices. Some examples of responses that were developed to meet these more frequent challenges as well as to manage the overall change process will be shared.

As an attendee, you will learn more about:

  • Leading and managing staff through change
  • Hiring strategies and change
