A good understanding of the processes involved in producing pure and ultrapure water is necessary to make sure that the quality of the laboratory water is suited for its intended purpose(s). This knowledge is also helpful in preventing future problems with water purification and the associated downtime and cost.

This webinar will answer the following essential questions to help you understand lab water:

  • Why is there a need to purify water? Different water contaminants will be discussed, as well as how these affect specific laboratory experiments.
  • What are the different types of purified water? The different water types or grades set by different organizations and manufacturers of laboratory water purification systems will be presented.
  • What are the parameters used to characterize water quality? Learn about the key parameters used, and what the expected values are for the different types of water.
  • What is the most efficient way of purifying water so that it is suitable for laboratory use? This will be covered in the discussion on the technologies used in laboratory water purification. Relevant scientific data will be presented.
