A two-page memo by Inspector General Gregory H. Friedman says security at the Los Alamos National Laboratory is "seriously flawed."

The two-page report comes after tens of millions of dollars were spent to upgrade security at the Santa Fe, N.H. laboratory.

A recent security breach at the nuclear weapons lab was discovered when a worker removed classified documents that were later found in her home during a drug bust.

Security policies at the lab were nonexistent, not followed or were applied inconsistently, according to Friedman's summary. Energy secretary Samuel Bodman said the agency would quickly address the deficiencies.

The full report was not released. Bodman said the report contains information the department is prohibited by law from publicly disclosing.
