LPA Members Contribute Over $100K in Equipment

The Laboratory Products Association (LPA) has partnered with the Arizona Science Center while in Scottsdale for its 2012 Annual Meeting October 29-30.

Fairfax, VA – The Laboratory Products Association (LPA) partnered with the Arizona Science Center while in Scottsdale for its 2012 Annual Meeting October 29-30. LPA member companies donated or pledged laboratory equipment and cash totaling just over $100,000. In addition, the proceeds of the association’s golf tournament held during the meeting were donated to the Center as well.

The Arizona Science Center is private, non-profit corporation established in 1982 with a mission to inspire, educate, and entertain people of all ages about science. The Center includes more than 98,000 square feet of gallery space and more than 300 hands-on exhibits.

“We have been amazed at the generosity of LPA members to the Arizona Science Center,” remarked Toby Amir Fox, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. “Donations from the LPA will enable the Center to design and implement a variety of new and exciting gallery programs.”
