Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that the 2013 Russell Varian Prize for Innovation in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance has been awarded to Dr. Lucio Frydman, professor and Kimmel Fellow at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. Dr. Frydman’s seminal paper, “The Acquisition of Multidimensional NMR Spectra within a Single Scan,” introduces a unique technique for recording multidimensional NMR spectra in a single scan, and describes the theoretical basis and experimental realization of this ultrafast NMR methodology.
